In most cases, a problem that is creating the pain, dysfunction or illness is corrected with a procedure called the chiropractic “adjustment”. This technique permits effective treatment while laying down, sitting, standing or even while in motion.
This instrument is very unique because sometimes a painful problem can only be felt in a certain position or particular movement. For example, someone injured in a car accident (sitting) may not feel their spinal trouble when laying down; it’s possible they must be analyzed and corrected in the seated position.
Analysis of a problem in the standing position will show the effects of gravity and its contribution to pain. Corrective action can then be applied and the body can respond to the adjustment immediately.
